Jonathan Eric McCaskill was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Playing drums became Jon’s passion at age twelve. He sat down behind his friend’s set and, to his surprise, he could play. He bought his first kit a year later. Jon practiced three hours every day and he got good very quickly!
“I’ve had the pleasure of playing for the late Minnie Ripperton, doing studio work for the Chicago Board of Education and several local bands. When it comes to teaching, I teach various styles, jazz, blues, rock and reggae, to name a few. I also teach my students how to read and understand drum charts. I truly love music and would love the opportunity to help you develop a love for music. Especially drumming!”
