Created exclusively for the Christian Family Schools of Poway, these classes are designed to promote a fun and safe environment, developing the students’ power of expression through social dance. Students will learn the basic foundation and steps that are universal in all forms of dance. This class will teach students different social dance styles; learn proper etiquette and social manners, as well as experience the joy that dance has to offer!!
PROPER ATTIRE: Suede bottom or light rubber bottomed dance/ jazz shoes, ballet shoes, character/theatrical shoes, or light weight canvas tennis shoes like Keds with laces or Mary Jane style shoes with elastic straps or buckles. Clunky shoes, heavy athletic shoes and flip flops or slippers are not acceptable. Socks are okay until proper shoes are purchased. No bare feet are allowed. Ladies – Dresses or skirts. Please no spaghetti straps, off the shoulder, halter, tight fitting, miniskirts or backless style dresses.
Gentlemen – Slacks, shirts and ties. Nice collared polo shirts are okay.
PARENTS: Please plan on joining your child at the beginning of the first class. We will have an orientation to go over the expectations and answer any questions.

Review and recital for last Friday class. Parents and family are invited to the class demonstration. Parents are encouraged to come dressed and ready to participate in the evening’s festivities!
